Since 1993, Local Directories, as a REAL ALTERNATIVE, has brought a refreshing new image to advertising. Compact and complete, Local Directories combines traditional, time-tested features with exciting new innovations.

The concept is to combine the traditional telephone directory product with the innovation of an easier-to-handle local phone book. The publications include both A-Z and classified sections, where all business and residential phone numbers are listed, detailed up-to-date street directories and other standard phone book features such as government and community information.

Local Directories delivers well over a million phone books annually throughout regional Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. These are delivered free to every household, business and government agency, with additional extra copies made available (for a specified period) at promoted pick-up points (including IGA Stores).

Local Directories is well entrenched in the regional Australian market, publishing over 120 annual editions of local phone books since 1993.

In 2006 Local Directories developed an online web site, resulting in virtual phone books with the same look and feel of their popular printed products. This online presence has also opened up the directories to the worldwide marketplace.
